What is Pokémon Pokopia?
Pokémon Pokopia is a life-simulation title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Based on official announcements and published press materials, it was developed by Game Freak with support from Omega Force (Koei Tecmo) and released on March 5, 2026.
You play as Ditto transformed into a human, exploring a post-human world where Pokémon roam freely. Using moves learned from Pokémon friends, you rebuild ruined landscapes into thriving habitats — greening wastelands with Razor Leaf, watering gardens with Water Gun, and even soaring across mountains as Dragonite.
At launch, review-aggregation scores ranked the game among the highest-reviewed Pokémon titles, with critics comparing its mix of cozy life-sim and free-form building to titles such as Animal Crossing and Minecraft.
