Legendary Hunter

A complete hunting guide for all Legendaries in Pokopia, covering Dream Island strategies, the Cloud Island double-dip trick, and Time Travel best practices.

How Dream Island Legendaries Work

After completing the main story, 4 Legendary Pokemon can appear on their corresponding Dream Islands. Use the Y button → Pokedex filter → "In This Area" to instantly check if a Legendary is present without exploring the whole island.

Dream Island Legendaries

Raikou

Raikou

Medium

Doll: Pikachu Doll

Method: Dream Island (Pikachu)

Strategy

Visit Pikachu Dream Island. Check Pokedex with Y button filter for "In This Area" to see if Raikou is present.

Use time travel to skip days between visits if Raikou is not showing.

Suicune

Suicune

Hard

Doll: Eevee Doll

Method: Dream Island (Eevee)

Strategy

Visit Eevee Dream Island. Suicune has a smaller spawn window than other Legendaries.

Eevee yields two Dream Islands per cloud island reset. Farm this for best odds.

Entei

Entei

Medium

Doll: Arcanine Doll

Method: Dream Island (Arcanine)

Strategy

Visit Arcanine Dream Island. Arcanine Island has the richest ore layers — combine resource farming with legendary hunting.

Bring plenty of hamburger steak to efficiently clear hard blocks while mining.

Mewtwo

Mewtwo

Hard

Doll: Dragonite Doll

Method: Dream Island (Dragonite)

Strategy

Visit Dragonite Dream Island. Mewtwo appears in cave areas. Check cave blocks carefully.

Dragonite Island has the deepest resource layers. Set Regi puzzle blocks to "All" in Pokedex filter.

The Cloud Island Double-Dip Trick

You can get two Legendary encounters of the same type in one day by leveraging Cloud Island:

1

Morning

Visit Cloud Island. Go to same Dream Island type as your target.

2

Befriend

Befriend the Legendary that appears on the Cloud Island Dream Island visit.

3

Evening

Return to main island. Use Drifloon to visit the same Dream Island type.

4

Second

If the same Legendary is there, befriend again for a second copy.

Important

You need the Mysterious Goggles (unlocked at Environment Level 3) to visit Cloud Islands. The Cloud Island does not save your changes — it's purely for resource and legendary hunting.

Time Travel Method

Time Travel lets you repeatedly refresh Dream Island legendary spawns without waiting for the real next day.

1

Complete the main story and befriend Drifloon first

Required to access Dream Islands

2

Open your Switch system settings → Date and Time

Do not sync with internet time

3

Turn off automatic date/time and set date to target event period

Hoppip event: March 10–17, 2026

4

Launch Pokopia and visit the Dream Island you want to hunt

Check Pokedex for legendary presence

5

If legendary is not there, return to home screen and advance date by 1 day

Repeat until legendary appears

6

After obtaining legendary, return system date to correct time

Avoid affecting other games on the console

Warning

Time Travel may affect other games on your Switch. Always return the date to the correct time after hunting. Do not use this method on games with online components that track real time.

Jumpluff

Community-Tested Hunting Method

This method was verified by the community and can significantly speed up legendary hunting:

  1. Enter a new Dream Island.
  2. Open Pokedex and check the "In This Area" filter.
  3. If a Legendary or "?" appears, explore and befriend it.
  4. If not, exit and time travel forward 1 day, then repeat.
  5. With this method you can skip entire cave exploration and spam day-skip hunting.
